What’s Up! Magazine: June 2013 Cover Design.
I designed the cover for this month’s What’s Up! Magazine. The cover concept borrows from the Archie comics style of humor I used to read when I was a kid. Someone always seemed to be bumbling around arrogantly or absent-mindedly at someone else’s expense.
I scribbled out a few thumbnails when the concept hit me. Later, i drew some more in depth sketches to bring into Illustrator and refine. Still pretty rough drawings, but good enough to work with. The final cover appears on Bellingham’s premier music magazine this month. It should hit newsstands any day now.
